Christmas & New Year Wishes: 5 Animated HTML, CSS & JavaScript Greeting Pages

Looking for a Christmas wishing website or a New Year greeting page you can open on any phone and share in seconds? This pack gives you 5 ready-made animated greeting pages written in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Three are for Christmas and two are for New Year. Every page is a single HTML file: no framework, no install, no build step. Open it in a browser and it works.

The pack is evergreen. The New Year pages work out the upcoming year automatically, so you can use the same files every December without editing the code.

The 5 greeting pages

1. Christmas Snow Globe

A glowing cabin and snowy pine trees inside a snow globe. Tap the globe to shake it and watch the snow swirl. A warm, cosy choice for family and friends.

2. Christmas Wish Gifts

Six wrapped gift boxes. Tap each one to open it, see confetti, and reveal a wish: Joy, Love, Health, Luck, Peace or Success. A lovely interactive greeting for kids and adults.

3. Santa's Sleigh

Santa and his reindeer fly over snowy rooftops under a starry sky, dropping gifts as they go. Tap "Drop gifts" for a shower of presents.

4. New Year Midnight Countdown

A live countdown to midnight on 1 January, shown in the viewer's own time zone. It ends with a 10-second final countdown and a fireworks finale. Use the "Preview midnight" button to see the celebration at any time.

5. Pop the New Year Balloons

Golden letter balloons and colourful balloons float up the screen. Pop each one to unlock a New Year resolution, from "Learn something new" to "Call an old friend".

Why you'll like it

• Works on mobile, tablet and desktop. Each page adjusts to the screen size.
• Personal greetings. Type a name, or share a link ending in ?name=Rahul so your friend sees their own name.
• WhatsApp sharing. One tap shares your greeting page.
• Lightweight. One small file per page, so it loads fast, even on slow connections.
• Easy to customise. Change the wishes, colours and fonts in any text editor such as Notepad or VS Code.
• Accessible. Buttons have labels, focus outlines are visible, and animations calm down for people who prefer reduced motion.

How to use your greeting pages

1. Download and unzip the pack.
2. Double-click any .html file to open it in your browser.
3. Type a name and enjoy the animation.

Want to send a live link? Upload the file to a free host such as Netlify or GitHub Pages. You can then share the link by WhatsApp, SMS, email or social media. WhatsApp sharing shares the live link, so the page needs to be hosted online.
